Forgiveness

Ephesians 4:32
Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another , and forgive one-another,as God has forgiven us through Christ.

What does forgiveness mean to us?

The simple defination of forgiveness is : Individual,voluntary internal process of letting go of feelings and thoughts of resentment ,bitterness,anger,and the need for vengeance and retribution.
But,the defination which the Bible gives is simple it's just Jesus.

Yes Jesus . As the verse above (eph 4:32) says that as God has forgiven you through Christ, hence this means that we are forgiven by God himself.
Even though we were in our deepest sin but still He forgave us by giving jesus.

 The cross on which  jesus hung was ours, what happened to sodom and Gomorrah must have happened to us ,but what happend was that christ himself came in between and took our punishment,our cross,our judgement,our stripes,our crown of thorns and made them His.
The anger of God which was coming on us He took it and gave us a new life by forgiving us .

If God can forgave us .....then why can't we?
Why does it happens that we never want to forgive the one who has trespassed against us.
Why it is that a brother can not forgive his brother only because of a small dispute on land or any small thing.
When christ has given us  forgiveness so why can't we give it to others.

Ephesians 4:32 says that to be kind and tender-hearted to others and to also forgive.
But what the world tells is to not forgive but to take revenge.
But my question is-did Jesus take revenge from Judas?
~No! He did not but,showed him love by giving him bread dipped in sauce.

'If Jesus can sit with Judas at the table.
So why can't we'? 
 Our unforgiveness can become a hindrance for us.

Prayer
Father, I come to your presence and I forgive the person who has done wrong to me and I thank you for taking my place and forgiving me.
Thank you Father
I pray this prayer in Jesus name
